About Megan

A graduate of UC Berkeley, I am the author of Thinking Pregnant: Conceiving Your New Life with a Baby (New Harbinger Press, 2001) and am currently  working on a sequel for new parents. I am an ASPO-certified childbirth and breastfeeding educator and lactation counselor, and have been working with expectant and new families for eighteen years. I have a broad and colorful background in maternity health education, which includes teaching, lecturing, conference planning, doula training, writing and an array of creative consulting projects.From 1996- 2002, I supervised hospital based perinatal education and breastfeeding programs in San Francisco. I have met so many wonderful new families and babies over the years!  I am the mother of two breast fed children, now 20 and 23.
